The Good Traitor — Virtual Cinema

From March 18 through 21, Scandinavia House is proud to present the new film The Good Traitor /Vores mand I Amerika, available to virtual audiences throughout the U.S.

April 9, 1940: Denmark is invaded by Nazi Germany with demands for immediate and unconditional surrender. The government surrenders after a few hours and begins cooperating with the Nazis. On the other side of the Atlantic is Denmark’s ambassador to the United States of America, a daredevil and a man of the world — Henrik Kauffmann, who is willing to put everything on the line. He refuses to follow the German directives and engineers a rebellious plan to defeat Hitler and give the Danish people their freedom back.

Based on a true story and starring Ulrich Thomsen, Burn Gorman, and Zoë Tapper, The Good Traitor explores the actions of Ambassador Kauffmann’s unsung heroism in WWII history. (Directed by Christina Rosendahl; 110 min. In Danish and English with English subtitles.)

Screenings are limited to 200 tickets; screenings will take place over four days (Thursday – Sunday) and will be available for viewing on a virtual cinema screening platform throughout this period.
