Fall in Love at the Swedish Church, NY

The summer is saying her final goodbye and leaves turn from green to red. A concert was held on September 21, with the suitable name "Fall in love". 

  • Eva Engman song, Helena Liljebland, song and flute, Erik Bohman song, Ingrid Emanuelsson piano, violin and song, David Johansson piano, guitar and song.

  • Eva Engman, Helena Liljeblad, Erik Bohman, Ingrid Emanuelsson and David Johansson performed a concert for love as the season turns. In the amber light of the chapel upstairs at the Swedish Church, they performed classics such as "Nocturne Eb major" by Frederic Chopin and "Kärleksvisa/The Love song" by Sarah Dawn Finer - a song dedicated to and performed at the Royal wedding 2010 between Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.

  • Helena Liljeblad and Erik Bohman singing "Orange Colored Sky " by Milton DeLugg, Willie Stein, a song they first performed together three years ago (the couple was just married this year).

  • “Fall is the best season for love and we all need some sometimes. So lets fall in love,” the singer Eva Engman said with a twinkle in her eye at the beginning of the concert.

  • Cecilia Grothen and Josefine Norlander, au pairs from Kalmar, Sweden Cecilia: "It was about friendship and harmony. I think you need some love, since the nights are getting longer and darker. It’s my first time here at the Swedish church and I will come back." Josefine: "I’m especially fond of the song “Utan dina andetag/Without your breath” by Kent. Lovely song.

  • The pews were full and songs accompanied by piano, guitar, flute and violin created harmony as the rain pattered against the church windows and heavenly shades of night were falling.

  • Brian G Andersson and Lars Nilsen. Brian: "I love the setting. It’s gorgeous here and the room has that nice acoustic sound." Lars: "I think the singers were great. I have listened to Eva (Engman) many times, and I look forward to the annual Christmas concert."
