Sweden has surpassed 9.5 million

Sweden's population surpassed 9.5 million during spring, and as usual it is in Stockholm the population has grown the most.

  Sweden’s population surpassed 9.5 million during spring, and as usual it is in Stockholm the population has grown the most. Stockholm municipality increased with 17 729 people during the first six months of 2012. Västerbotten, on the other hand, lost 557 inhabitants, which according to Statistics Sweden is the greatest decrease counted in percentage. During the year’s first six months, 45 270 people immigrated to Sweden, somewhat more than during the same period in 2011. Following turbulences in Syria and Afghanistan, immigration from those countries increased with close to 70%.
