Another ABBA project is in the works

ABBA is coming out with a new album, digitally remastered from their 1979 concert at Wembley Arena.

  • ABBA in the good old days.
  • ABBA is singing "as good as new" again
There’s a new ABBA project in the works. Benny Andersson's son Ludvig
has been remastering the music from ABBA's 1979 world tour concert at Wembley, their last concert in London. “I did this for me, because I was not born at the time. I never got to hear it,” Ludvig says. Benny himself was surprised at the finished result of the remastered music. “No voices have been added and we sound surprisingly good,” he says, laughing. Benny tried to no avail to convince ABBA member Agnetha Fältskog to release a record with her own material (she produced a new album of her own music just last year), but "I'm Still Alive," a song Agnetha wrote for the 1979 tour that has remained unreleased, is on the new recording. There is no other new ABBA material, but it will be a live album anyway. The remastered 2-CD set, “ABBA live at Wembley Arena," is comprised of 25 songs, among them "As good as new," "Dancing queen" and "Take a chance on me," and is scheduled for release on September 29.
