  Women call in sick much more often than men do in Sweden. Why is that? According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket), one explanation may be the work environment. Fifty-six percent of employees working in the home care system have experienced problems sleeping, upset stomachs, dizziness or depression because of their work, whereas the equivalent number for those working in technical management is only 28 percent.
